Special Issue Information

Dear Scholars

Recently, the discipline of fractional calculus (mathematical analysis for differential, integral, and integro-differential operators with arbitrary order) has penetrated its roots to almost all fields of science and engineering. Numerous applications of this discipline are seen nowadays with physical and natural systems with epidemiology included. Other potential fields include but not limited to quantum mechanics, fluid dynamics, cell biology, forensic biology, econometrics, petroleum and natural gas, kinetic reactions, computational biology, biophysics, genetics, physiology, neurobiology, cancer biology, atomic physics, and molecular physics. As a result, one can find a plethora of research articles, conference proceedings and review papers in connection with applications of modern fractional calculus.

Under the present motto, there is a great need to investigate and develop multifarious concepts about the field of Biophysics. As such, the area of biophysics is expected to get advanced while using tools from classical and modern fractional calculus. This can be achieved by employing new and innovative ideas that are related with computational biology, new numerical techniques, fractional and classical ordinary differential equations to investigate complex systems. Regarding the research collection under the titled topic, we aim to receive original and novel research papers to advance the field of biophysics including mathematical epidemiology with fractional and classical calculus. Potential research topics include, but not limited to, latest findings in:

  • Fractional Dynamical Systems
  • Mathematical Epidemiology
  • Mathematical Physics
  • Mathematical Biophysics
  • Computational Mechanics
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Modern Fractional Calculus in Physical Systems
  • Advancements in Infectious Diseases with Fractional Tools
  • Real-Life Applications of Modern Fractional Calculus
Keywords: Fractional Calculus; Singular and Non-Singular fractional operators; Dynamical Systems; Biophysics; Fractional Modeling of Infectious Diseases and their physical impacts; Differential Equations.
